6/10/2010 - Suspects Sought in Pharmaceutical Trailer Load Theft

Peel Crime Stoppers wants your help in identifying suspects wanted in the theft of 2 trailer loads of pharmaceutical goods as well as locating an outstanding stolen trailer.
 
On the 31 May, 2010, between 1:58 a.m. and 2:10 a.m., 3 unknown male suspects entered a trailer yard of General Cartage at 48 North Queen Street, Etobicoke, and stole 2 tractor trailers containing a large variety of pharmaceutical goods, valued at $1.5 million.

The suspects were able to steal the tractor trailers by cutting holes through the perimeter fencing and driving the tractor trailers overtop of the remaining fencing.

Both tractors have been recovered in the McDonalds lot located at Highway 27 and Carrier Drive in Etobicoke.   One of the trailers, which was emptied out, was recovered at 20 Delta Parkway Blvd., Brampton. 
 
The outstanding trailer is described as:  white, with blue line and star, 40 feet in length, Ontario trailer #5215.

6/3/2010 - Fraudsters Credit Card Users Sought

Crime Stoppers needs your help in apprehending two suspects using fraudulent credit cards.

On Tuesday, March 16th, 2010 at 4:00 pm two unknown males attended the Rona Home and Garden located at 67 Colossus Drive in the City of Vaughan.  The two suspects purchased a barbecue using a fraudulent credit card.  Later on the same day, the same two men attended a Wal-Mart store in the City of Brampton and purchased electronic items with the same fraudulent credit card.  The two suspects were seen leaving Wal-Mart driving a black 2008 Toyota RAV SUV.

4/30/2010 - Gun Toting Bandits Fire Shots at Residence

CRIME OF THE WEEK BRAMPTON

Peel Crime Stoppers is asking for your help in identifying gun toting bandits who fired numerous shots at a residence in Brampton.

On April 20, 2010, at approximately 7 p.m.,  a vehicle, possibly a late model Mazda M3, 4 door hatchback, blue, with a sunroof,  was observed fleeing the area of Young Drive in Brampton after being involved in a shooting.

The unknown suspects shot approximately 26 rounds of ammunition at the front door and a vehicle parked in the driveway of a Young Drive residence.    The suspects are described as light skinned males, early 20’s, possibly South Asians. 4/28/2010 - Stolen Motorcycles around Square One Area

Peel Crime Stoppers is seeking your assistance in identifying suspects that have been stealing sport motorcycles from the parking garages of condominiums around the Square One area in Mississauga.

Recent video surveillance has captured the following 2 vehicles entering underground parking garages.  Two suspects, who have yet to be identified, exit these vehicles and lift sport motorcycles into the rear of the van.

It should be noted that a total of 15 motorcycles have been stolen from the Square One area since August 2009.

4/6/2010 - Cowardly Suspect Robs Elderly Woman

Peel Crime Stoppers is seeking your help in identifying a cowardly male suspect who robbed an elderly woman.

On Thursday March 11, 2010 at 11:30am, the victim, a 71 year old woman, left the Scotia Bank at Southgate Plaza, located at 700 Balmoral Drive, Brampton. She proceeded along Balmoral Drive near Eastbourne Drive when she was approached by the suspect. The suspect pushed her to the ground and stole her purse. He was last seen jumping a fence on the south side of Balmoral Drive.

The suspect is described as male, white, 5’2” tall, small build, in his late teens or early twenties.  He was wearing a  dark cap, white sleeveless shirt with dark edging, dark track pants and dark shoes.

3/31/2010 - Road Rage Suspects Sought

Peel Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects who assaulted a female victim in her vehicle at the intersection of Erin Mills Parkway and Battleford Road in Mississauga.
 
On Thursday, March 25, 2010, at approximately 9:50 p.m., the victim, a 34 year-old Mississauga woman, was stopped in the northbound lanes on Erin Mills Parkway. The suspect vehicle, a silver Honda sedan with a partial Ontario license plate of *BEYM*, pulled alongside the victim’s vehicle and stopped. The first suspect exited this vehicle and approached the victim’s driver’s side window. The suspect then proceeded to punch the victim in the head.   A second suspect also exited the car and attended the driver’s side window, where he kicked the victim through the window. The suspects then fled the scene in their vehicle, which is believed to have had at least two additional persons inside.
 
The victim was transported to hospital where she was treated for minor injuries and released.
 
The suspects are described as follows;
 
Suspect #1:
Male, black, medium build, approximately 5’6” tall,  light complexion, shoulder length braided dreadlocks, 20-25 years old, wearing all dark clothing and spoke with a thick Jamaican accent.
 
Suspect #2:
Male, black, medium build, approximately 5’7” tall,  light complexion and shoulder length braided dreadlocks.

3/31/2010 - Active Green and Ross Break-in Suspects Sought

Peel Crime Stoppers is seeking your assistance in locating suspect(s) responsible for breaking into an Active Green and Ross store, stealing a quantity of tires, as well as setting a fire inside the store.

On Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at approximately 7:20 a.m.  employees attended at the Active Green and Ross store located at 375 Dundas Street, East, Mississauga and discovered that a break and enter had occurred.   Shortly thereafter, employees discovered that an active fire was underway inside the store.   It also appears that quantity of tires was stolen from the break in.

3/12/2010 - Scam Artist Victims Sought

CRIME OF THE WEEK MISSISSAUGA
RELEASE #2010-07a

Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Fraud Bureau have arrested a 44 year-old male, in relation to numerous frauds, valued at approximately $500,000.00.
 
The suspect has been operating businesses out of the Peel Region named Fininvest and Spectrum Investments, portraying himself as both a car dealer and a mortgage broker. The suspect would meet his potential victims at various social functions associated to his son’s hockey teams. He would befriend these individuals and defraud them of sums of money, ranging up to $300,000.00.
 
Some of the fraudulent schemes included false investments into condominium mortgages, a casino in the Bahamas and a company which invested in hockey equipment.
 
On Thursday, March 4, 2010, police arrested and charged Steve SITAHALL, a 44 year-old male of no fixed address, with numerous fraud-related charges. He was held pending a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday, March 5, 2010.
 
Investigators have located fourteen (14) victims, but believe that there may be other individuals who may have been victimized in the same manner.   Peel Crime Stoppers is seeking your assistance in identifying any other potential victims.

3/1/2010 - Knife Wielding Bandits Rob Rabba Fine Foods

CRIME OF THE WEEK MISSISSAUGA
RELEASE #2010-06a

On February 5, 2010 at 3:21 am, a male and female suspect entered Rabba Fine Foods located at 645 Lakeshore Rd E.  The female suspect placed several items inside her jacket while the male suspect attempted to distract the employee. As the female suspect made an attempt to exit the store, the employee confronted and tried to detain her, resulting in a struggle.   The male suspect advised the victim not to touch the female suspect and threatened to kill him. The male suspect then brandished a knife and slashed the employee’s finger causing a small laceration.

The suspects fled in a dark green older model station wagon.
                                                                        
SUSPECT #1:  Male, white, late 30’s, 5’5’’, 190lbs, medium build with a belly, bushy curly brown hair with receding hairline, wearing a black leather jacket, red tshirt and blue jeans

SUSPECT #2:  Female, white, early 20’s, 5’0’’, 90 lbs, skinny build, blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing black camouflage jacket  with red lining and fur around the hood, tight blue jeans.

**NO TOP FRONT TEETH**
