2/3/2012 - Suspect wanted for Sex Assault on Brampton Transit Bus

Crime Stoppers is asking for your help in identifying a male suspect wanted for Sexually Assaulting a young person on a Brampton Transit Bus. 

On Monday, January 16, 2012 at 5:02 pm the suspect boarded the Route 4 Brampton Transit Bus on Chinguacousy Road at Bovaird Drive and sat down in a seat.   The suspect moved closer towards a young person sitting in a seat and sexually assaulted that young person.  

 Suspect Description:
• Male
• Middle Eastern of South Asian
• Grey beard
• Unkempt appearance

Clothing:
• Black coat, pants, shirt and scarf
• Black baseball cap with white emblem
• Inexpensive running shoes

1/26/2012 - One of Canada’s Most Wanted Fugitives Still Eluding Police

In the wake of the violent kidnapping of two North York men in January of last year, Peel Regional Police Homicide investigators remain diligent in their efforts to locate the mastermind behind this crime.
 
On Thursday, January 20, 2011 officers attended an address on Featherston Drive, in response to a complaint of two missing men; Mr. Xiu Jun (Johnny) FEI and Mr. Jianguo (Tony) HAN. Investigators quickly determined that the two men had been kidnapped.
 
On January 26, 2011, Mr. FEI was released by the kidnappers and located by police at an address in Toronto. Mr. FEI was taken to hospital suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
 
In July of 2011, following an extensive investigation, police attended a Markham area residence where human remains were discovered. A post-mortem examination confirmed the remains recovered were those of real estate agent Mr. HAN.
 
To date, 7 persons have been arrested and charged for their involvement in this kidnapping and murder.

Guo Wei WU, now listed as one of Canada’s Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives, continues to elude investigators. 

WU, who is considered dangerous, is known to have a number of aliases, including Louis CHAN and David WU

He is known to carry top designer shoulder bags and wears glasses without lenses.

He frequents the GTA, Montreal, Vancouver and parts of the USA. WU is believed to have ties to Asian organized crime groups in Canada and China

1/13/2012 - Female Thief hits Brampton Community Centre

Peel Crime Stoppers is asking for your assistance in identifying a female suspect wanted for stealing purses from a community centre in Brampton.

On Thursday November 10th,  2011 at approximately 1:30 pm, a female suspect attended the female locker room at the Chinguacousy Wellness Centre, located at 995 Peter Robertson Boulevard in the City of Brampton.  Once in the locker room, the suspect proceeded to cut the lock on 2 lockers and stole 2 purses with their contents.

Suspect  Description:

Female, Multiracial, 5’7”, 200 pounds, long black hair, brown eyes, wearing a blue t-shirt, black pants, carrying a black jacket and two purses.

1/12/2012 - Arson Suspect Sought

CRIME OF THE WEEK MISSISSAUGA
RELEASE # 2012-1a

On Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at 2:40 a.m., emergency crews responded to an explosion at KMB Bridal and Photography Studios, located at 800 Dundas Street East. The business water system quickly doused the fire and damaged was contained to one unit. 

Once on scene, Peel Police and Mississauga Fire were met by the smell of gasoline and located gasoline jerry cans throughout the premise.   In collaboration with the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal, the fire was determined to have been deliberately set. 

Video surveillance captured a male party leaving the scene in a SUV. The vehicle is described as silver Dodge Durango and was last seen fleeing southbound on Haines Road.

The suspect was inside KMB Bridal and Photography Studios at the time of the explosion and may have sustained burn injuries. The suspect is described 5’6” with a skinny build wearing blue jeans and black puffy hooded parka. Investigators have immediate concerns for the well being of the suspect due to the extent of the blast.

1/12/2012 - Suspect wanted for Sexually Assaulting a Visually Impaired Woman

Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a   possible suspect responsible for a sexual assault on a visually impaired 30 year-old female.

On Friday, November 11, 2011 at approximately 11:45 p.m., the 30 year-old female victim was in her building at 430 McMurchy Avenue South, when she was approached  by a suspect  who grabbed her and sexually assaulted her.

Investigators are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect believed responsible for the sexual assault, who was caught on video surveillance (pictured below).

Male black, 25 years, black hat, leather jacket and hoodie with grey track pants and black shoes.

12/5/2011 - Suspects Sought in Large Scale Distraction Theft

On October 30th, 2011, two male suspects were involved in a large scale organized distraction theft that took place at Pearson International Airport.  Gold coins and rare currency valued at approximately $130,000 were stolen from the victim.

The suspects, Christian APONTE and Oscar MEDINA PINILLA are believed to be in Quebec in the area of Montreal.   They are currently wanted on Canada Wide Warrants for Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence and Theft over $5,000.

11/17/2011 - Suspect in Jewellery Store Heist Sought

A masked bandit robbed a jewellery store and Peel Crime Stoppers is asking for you help in identifying him.

On Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 10:20 a.m., a male suspect entered the Sergio Valente Jewellery store at 10/11- 966 Pantera Drive in Mississauga through an unsecured door.   Once inside, the suspect brandished a hand gun and made a demand for jewellery.  The suspect`s knapsack was filled with a large quantity of jewellery by employees and the suspect subsequently fled the scene.

The suspect is described as male, black, 20 years, black clothing with black bandana covering his face, black knapsack with orange panels.

11/9/2011 - Federal Parole Violator Wanted

The provincial R.O.P.E. squad is looking for Douglas ARCHER.  A Canada wide warrant was issued for his arrest on October 26th, 2011.

59 years old, male, white, fair complexion, blue eyes, white hair and beard, 173 cm, 96 kg.

 

ARCHER is considered to be dangerous.  Do not approach ARCHER.

10/20/2011 - Witness Sought in Transit Bus Assault

Peel Crime Stoppers is appealing to witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers in regards to   a serious assault that took place on a Mississauga Transit bus in early September, 2011.  

On Friday, September 2, 2011, around 11:45 pm, the victim got on Mississauga Transit bus #42 at the Westwood Mall bus loop in Mississauga and sat down near the rear.  Just after midnight, a 28 year old male white suspect got on the same bus at Mississauga Road and Meadowvale Boulevard. 

When the bus got to the Meadowvale Town Centre, the victim and the suspect got into a verbal argument.   At one point the suspect punched the victim in the head making him fall, hit his head on the ground and lose consciousness.   The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.  The suspect was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault.

9/28/2011 - Taxi Cab Assaulters Sought

On September 11, 2011, at approximately 5:16am, a male and female suspect boarded the victim’s vehicle, a white 2005 Dodge Caravan taxi cab.

The vehicle was stopped at the intersection of Forum Drive and Eglinton Ave, Mississauga when the male suspect and the victim became involved in a verbal argument over the amount of money owed.  The male suspect then punched the victim several times in his right ear, kicked the victim’s vehicle and then both suspects fled on foot.
